ELF Haul!

I was really excited to receive an email newsletter from ELF cosmetics letting me know that due to their Facebook page receiving 325,000 likes they were offering an online code over the weekend to receive a mystery bag with at least £10 worth of products free when you spend £10 or over! I have loved all the ELF products that I have tried so far so I decided to order a few more and see what goodies they decided to send me!
Firstly, the products that I ordered were: Studio Matte Lip Colour in Rich Red.  I already have this lip product in both the Coral and Natural shades and absolutely love it!  The lipstick in shaped into a thin twist up tube which means you can line the lips and then fill in the colour, which is extra handy when using a red that needs to look perfect!  I find these colours really long lasting and all 3 shades that I have tried have been flattering for my skin tone.  I like the matte look that they provide however you can easily add a gloss or balm over the top for a bit of sheen and I don't find these drying on the lips at all.  I believe that they have 2 more shades so I will definitely be looking to purchase those in the future!
I also ordered the Lipstick in Seductive, which they describe as a deep warm pink creme.  This product glides on so well with a lovely sheen and the colour is a very pretty shade, perfect for everyday and I am excited to use this over the Spring and Summer months!
I have quite a few of the ELF make up brushes from the standard range and I have to say that for £1.50 per item these are an absolute bargain!  I have used my brushes day in day out for 2 months now and wash them regularly, yet they do not malt and always air dry back into a good shape, they also apply make up brilliantly so I added the concealer and standard eye shadow brush to my collection.  I have all of the eyeshadow brushes from this range now but I like to keep a few so that I can use different colours without having to wash the brushes every day!
I also purchased the Brightening eye colour in Blue Moon and the Eelid primer in sheer but I have yet to use these products so I shall do a separate review of those!

Now the extra exciting bit, the freebies!  I was extremely happy with the items that ELF had picked out for me and am glad that I decided to take advantage of their offer!
The items they sent:  Brightening Eye Colour in Nymph Dreams - This eye palette have 4 colours, a light gold,  a dark gold, a turquoise and a mink, all four colours have a shimmer to them and the set includes a double ended sponge applicator.  This palette is one that I probably would not have chosen from the website, simply because the turquoise would be a bit too bright for me to choose as I tend to stick to more neutral colours, however I really like the selection of colours and blended right even the turquoise is not too bright for me!
Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF 15 in Goddess.  This is a lovely smooth lipgloss which again is perfect for every day wear.  The gloss doesn't feel sticky at all and the colour is just enough to add a bit of oomph to your look!
Studio Cream Eyeliner in Punk Purple.  These last two items were my most exciting!  I have been meaning to order this product but in black and totally forgot so when I opened the mystery bag and saw this I really was delighted! The kit comes complete with an application brush which I think for £3.50 is amazing and the little square pot looks like the product should be far more expensive than it actually is! I have yet to try this out but I am excited too and will review once I have done! I would have preferred the black if I am really honest just because, as I mentioned, I tend not to go too colourful on my eyes, but as this was a complete freebie I really can't complain!!
Lastly I received the Mineral Bamboo Contour Brush which is a cruelty free, recycled and eco friendly brush with a bamboo handle.  This brush is so soft and yet the bristles are sturdy and stay in shape which is perfect for precision!  As I now have most of the cheaper ELF brushes I may use this as an excuse to start collecting the mineral ones next!

All in all a very exciting package, I really do love all my ELF products and although I am sure there are 1 or 2 things that might not work for me from the brand I have been lucky enough to so far have only bought things that are great!  The prices are so good which makes trying something new so much easier too, as you don't feel so bad if something doesn't work out!  I spent £13.95 on these products, including the P&P, what a bargain! The freebies were worth £12 which I think is super but even without them £14 for what I ordered is amazing!
What ELF products do you love? x
