LOTD Books #4

Welcome to Wednesday!  Today's LOTD is books and this week I have chosen this book by Betheny Frankel called Naturally Thin.  I have just ordered this book on Amazon and have heard that it is full of healthy tips on how to eat a well balanced and healthy diet and remain slim.  I am not into fad diets but just love to feel healthy and full of energy so I am hoping that this will teach me a few things that I don't know.  I the past I have definitely fallen into the trap of thinking that a food is healthier than it actually is, for example cereal bars but I feel like I have educated myself a lot over the last few years and I am excited to carry on learning!  I have made so many little changes to my diet which have not only made me lose weight without trying but more importantly have helped me to feel better from within and more full of life and energy! Whoop, whoop!

I will do a review on the book after I have read it and let you all know if it is as good as I have heard!

LOTD Book#3

Its the middle of the week, countdown to the weekend or hump day as some people call it!  Wednesday's LOTD are Books!

I have chosen this children's book that we borrowed from the library called Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! by Mo Williams.  It is a simple book with no real message, just not to let the pigeon drive the bus whilst the bus driver is away!  However there are lovely big pictures and it is a fun book to read that children can help with after listening to the story a few times!  Some of the pages made me laugh a lot too!

Here is Louise's choice today, sprinkleofglitter

LOTD Book #2

Wednesday is book day!  Click here for SprinkleofGlitter's post, which is a really useful book on blogging that I shall probably order!

As a teenager I was totally obsessed with Jennifer Lopez, I loved her style, her look, her music, everything! I was also very into trying out new make up looks and experimenting with make up. So my Gran bought me this book for one of my birthdays, (I think she saw the pic of J-Lo inside!) I can't remember which one but it has to be at least 12/13 years ago!

This was my first make up book and it taught me alot! Although it is aimed at Latina's the advice and tips can be applied to anyone and I still have the book now! I love looking through it and still copy the looks featured from time to time!  I have tracked down but can only seem to find it available overseas! Here is a website detailing a list of online stockists if you would like to have a look!

Again I am looking forward to finding some new books through your replies this week! x

LOTD Book

Phew, I am just sitting down after a hectic day so I have only just had a look to see what the LOTD is today! This one, being 'Books' is a little bit trickier for me, I do read every night before I go to sleep but I have to confess that I don't often remember the author or sometimes even the title of the books!
Click here to check out Louise's post, I have to say I like the look of her book choice so that one will be going onto my list of books to read!

So I will choose this book which is Just After Sunset by Stephen King.  I recently read the majority of this on holiday, it is 13 short stories and we were taking Thomas back to our room after lunch to keep him out of the sun at the hottest parts of the day so I used the time to read basically one short story a day.  I did find some of the stories a bit frustrating because they didn't seem to have an outcome as such, but then that is the idea of them I suppose!  I did find that they were gripping though and I actually wanted to stay and read the whole story rather than being desperate to get back out to the sunshine, so that is saying something!

I am looking forward to seeing your responses and finding a few more books to add to my list of books to read! I know I am extremely behind but I am alternating a Harry Potter in at every other book at the moment! x
