I just popped to Superdrugs with Thomas to grab a few bits and bobs and came across these Barry M nail polishes. Now I am not supposed to be buying unnecessary things at the moment so this was a bit of a naughty purchase!
These polishes remind me of those magic colour change pens, as you just put a clear top coat over the colour once it has dried to see it magically change before your eyes!
I try to do my nails with my much loved gel polish as often as I can, but sometimes with a hectic baby around its just not possible, so it is nice to have a stock of fun polishes to play with and whenever I am buying non-professionally I always go for Barry M as they have a great range of colours, a selection of effect polishes and are pretty easy going on my purse! These polishes are £3.99 each and will be a quick way to add some nail art! There were three coloursways available, blue To purple, pink to purple and lilac to purple, my favourite is the lilac one. It's a bit of a shame that they all change to various purple shades and not any other colours, I wonder if that was the easiest colour to make!
I found that when you apply the clear it is best to load your brush as the effect can be a little bit patchy and obviously you are not able to apply a top coat.
All in all a great fun product!
Side note: my laptop is dying, sob, so I am blogging from my phone and have no idea how the photos will be displayed, so apologies if this post is a bit unorganised looking!
Have you found any fun make up products recently? X

LOTD Fact or Quote #3
Eek, so I am very late with this post! Does is still count as Friday at 12.15??
Here is my lotd, and again I have chosen a quote from pinterest! I choose this one because it made me chuckle!
I will have to link to Louise tomorrow on my husband's laptop, as I don't think I have enough brain power left today to work out how to do it on my phone! X

A Very Productive Week
I have been lucky enough to have had a lot of fun things happen over the past month. We have been on holiday to Corfu, I had my friend's hen do in Cardiff, then it was my sister's 18th, my Dad's 55th and then the boys went off on the stag do! Phew! Whilst it has all been super fun I realised at the weekend that a few things have been forgotten while we were having a jolly old time, so as a catch up I have spent this week being very productive!
Home - We are saving to move and so far have talked about it a lot and put away what we can, but we decided that we should get the ball rolling and see a mortgage adviser. I am feeling excited now that we know how much we can increase our mortgage by and all the details that go with it!
This also made me want to crack on with a few other jibs around the flat. So I have sorted through and put some bits and pieces on eBay which should really have gone a while ago! I have also given some new baby toys to my sister, as Thomas has outgrown them and got a pile of books ready for the Charity shop! The next household job is to freshen up the flat with a lick of paint and then I think we will be ready for valuations and viewings! Exciting!
Thomas - I realised that whilst Thomas enjoyed his holiday and has spent time with both sets of Grandparents and evenings with us and our friend's recently we haven't actually done any toddler specific activities since before holiday! This makes me feel so bad for him but it is easily done as life takes over. So this week we attempted a visit to the Playshack, unfortunately Thomas was asleep by the time we got there! I have also taken him to a Surestart play group session, visited a Mum & Baby group and scheduled a play date with my sister and cousin Isabelle, who is a year older than Tom. He also had a few hours with his Nana today while I was at work, so all in all a better week for Thomas to play and have some fun!
Food & Exercise - As per my post of a few weeks ago I put on a bit of weight on my holiday, which is fine I had fun, let my hair down and enjoyed a few treats! Since I got back I have tried to get back into my normal eating and exercise patterns, but what with the hen do and birthdays I have still ended up eating and drinking more than usual. Then, horrors, my treadmill died! This was bad news for me because I use it at least 4/5 times a week, more if I have the time. I started to go out for walks etc instead but if I am honest the weather has been putting me off. This week I decided to dip into the savings and get myself a stepper, as they are far cheaper and smaller than a new treadmill would be! I found that I had felt a bit lethargic over the last few weeks and I know that is down to diet and less exercise so I have stepped up (hehe) my game and also upped my fresh fruit and veg intake and sure enough, this week I am feeling far more alert, plus my scales are moving in the right direction, whoop!
Work - I am a self employed mobile beautician & only went live with my business in September. I am currently building up my clientele however what with holiday etc and being a Mummy sometimes I find that I can let the advertising and promotions side of things slip. I have been fairly busy with customers this week and did run a competition to win a spray tan but am setting aside tomorrow to think up some promotions and offers for the coming months! I did complete some paperwork and buy supplies as well this week already so that was positive too!
We have lots of plans over the weekend to visit friends and family so I think it will be a good end to a very productive week!
Have you achieved much this week? Do you have any tips for keeping on track? x
LOTD eBay #3
Happy Thursday everybody! The LOTD today is eBay, another easy one for me!
Recently I bought one of these nifty shoe stretchers. I have wide feet and quite often find that if I get a size 7 they slop off but a size 6 pinches, so I thought I would give one of these a try with my smaller sized shoes. I have stretched 2 pairs so far and the tool has been brilliant! I highly recommend getting one if like me you can't get the perfect fitting shoes straight from the shop! You only get one sent though so if you have an event in mind then you need to get stretching a few days early to be able to do both!
Have a look over at sprinkleofglitter to see the Bling It tool that Louise has shared!
Happy eBaying! x

LOTD Book#3
Its the middle of the week, countdown to the weekend or hump day as some people call it! Wednesday's LOTD are Books!
I have chosen this children's book that we borrowed from the library called Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! by Mo Williams. It is a simple book with no real message, just not to let the pigeon drive the bus whilst the bus driver is away! However there are lovely big pictures and it is a fun book to read that children can help with after listening to the story a few times! Some of the pages made me laugh a lot too!

Flax/Linseeds for shiny healthy hair!
As I am sure you have all gathered I am a woman on a mission to long, shiny, healthy hair!
During my quest a tip that I have come across on the wonderful world wide web is that consuming Flax seeds is great for achieving healthy hair. What I have read states that the seeds contain the Omega 3 fatty acids that help promote healthy hair, skin and nails and helps to prevent hair loss as well! Fabbies!

What I have read states that the seeds contain the Omega 3 fatty acids that help promote healthy hair, skin and nails and helps to prevent hair loss as well! Fabbies!
As I have a slight addiction to eating low fat yogurt with fruit in and do that every day anyway I have been adding the Flax seeds to the snack.
I have just been bunging them into the bowl but whilst I was double checking my facts for this post I found most websites recommend actually grinding the seeds to ensure all the goodness is digested, so I may have to now invest in a coffee grinder! I also read that these seeds have other health benefits such as lowering cholesterol and helping to achieve weight loss, so that is an added bonus for me, as I am not eating them for those reasons.
I have been eating these seeds for about 3/4 months now and I have noticed that my hair is looking shinier (I assume only the new growth will count??) and also my eyelashes are longer! As a short eyelashed girl this has been a very welcome advantage!
What are your tips for shiny hair and health ends? x
